The purpose of this project, commissioned by a South African broadcasting company, was to introduce a new feature to an existing solution to improve sales of digital streaming vouchers. The enhanced app enables field agents to sell vouchers to both new and existing customers, handle payments, and issue vouchers through an integrated system that includes wallet management for agents.

The enhancement to the mobile app equipped field agents with a dedicated tool to sell digital streaming vouchers, significantly increasing sales and advancing strategic growth objectives.
Integration with the managed wallet system allowed agents to process payments securely and efficiently, reducing transaction complexity and enhancing ease of use.
Automated fields reduced manual entry, minimizing errors and ensuring consistent, reliable sales data. This accuracy improved real-time reporting, enabling data-driven decisions.
Our UX/UI Approach
Our design approach for integrating voucher sales was centred on seamlessly embedding this new feature within the existing customer management flow. This strategic integration was essential as it allowed agents already familiar with the system to effortlessly adopt the new functionality without disrupting their workflow. We focused on maintaining consistency in design elements and interactions, ensuring that agents could intuitively navigate the voucher sales process as an extension of their current tasks. This approach minimised training needs, enhanced efficiency, and provided a cohesive user experience aligned with the existing operational framework while expanding service capabilities.
Our Development Approach
We approached the development of the new feature by keeping the current solution's architecture and design patterns in mind. This ensured the ease of maintainability of the new features and functions for the developers and provided consistency for the end user by using the front-end patterns/designs and templates currently in place.
Using Figma, Miro, and OutSystems, we streamlined the design, collaboration, and development process from ideation to implementation. Figma and Miro fostered a collaborative environment with seamless communication and alignment, while OutSystems accelerated development and deployment. By leveraging these tools together, we maximised our resources and delivered a solution that was both efficient and impactful.
